Secondary schools face the deepest version of the EDB programme's goal — AI for ALL subjects. Students are old enough to question models, not just use them, and the stakes run through electives to the HKDSE. The EDB held its secondary-school briefing on 15 January 2026.
The strongest secondary programmes treat AI literacy as a discipline: students verify model claims, critique outputs, and build with large language models instead of copying from them.
